It is understood that this sewing type socks tag system design is from the hands of the four students of Zhejiang Textile and Garment Vocational and Technical College, such as Pang Yadi, Zhou Yujie, Sun Xubo and Liu Yong. At present, the team has settled in the Ningbo Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

In the early stage, the team made a detailed investigation in Zhuji, Zhejiang, which is known as the “hometown of Chinese socks industry”. It was found that the three workers had a division of labor and completed the complete packaging of a pair of socks, which took 12 seconds. The survey found that in China, the packaging of hosiery products is basically artificial or semi-automatic, which not only affects production efficiency, but also optimizes human resources. It is inevitable that workers will repeatedly experience a physical fatigue and affect the yield of products.

“It takes only 2.5 seconds to complete the complete packaging of the socks with this fully automatic production equipment, which can reduce the labor cost by 16%,” said the instructor Cui Hai.

Cui Hai calculated the account for the reporter: the cost of manual packaging is 0.2 yuan, the cost of machine packaging is 0.04 yuan, and the cost is reduced by 16%. Take the annual output of 50 million pairs of small and medium-sized enterprises as an example, saving labor costs of 8.25 million yuan. Taking the annual output of 1 billion pairs of small and medium-sized enterprises as an example, the labor cost is 165 million yuan.
