Zhejiang Huzhou Textile and Garment Exports Nearly US$300 Million

According to statistics from the Huzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in the first three quarters of this year, a total of 12,536 batches of textile and garment products were exported from Huzhou, with a value reaching $299,938,600. This marks a year-on-year increase of 14% in the number of export batches and 12% in the export value, showing a positive trend in both volume and value of exports. The growth reflects the strong performance of the local textile and apparel industry. Since the beginning of the year, the Huzhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has been actively implementing the "quality improvement" initiatives under the broader "service base, serve enterprises" strategy. The bureau has emphasized a practical and down-to-earth service philosophy, focusing on real needs and providing support at the grassroots level. It has specifically targeted small and medium-sized textile and garment manufacturers, offering solutions through various measures such as the "four get ones for relief" program, the "months for improving children's clothing quality" campaign, and "product quality diagnosis" services. In addition, the bureau has dispatched teams of inspection and supervision personnel to conduct on-site visits to export-oriented companies. These teams have provided direct guidance at the production front lines, helping businesses establish and enhance their quality management systems. Through methods like training, mentoring, and hands-on support, the bureau has offered free training sessions for inspection staff, boosting companies’ capabilities in product quality control.
