In recent weeks, the fabric market at China Light Textile City has been in a slow season, with frequent price reductions and ongoing negotiations. The "cotton" product line has seen a comprehensive decline, with prices continuing to fall across the board. Among the main cotton varieties, such as 32S × 32S and 66 × 66, the majority of goods have been put on hold, with only small batches being sold intermittently. For example, some orders of just a few thousand meters are now being quoted around 5.90 yuan per meter, while smaller quantities of 100 meters are priced around 6.00 yuan per meter.
Another popular variety, the "cotton and silk" blend, specifically 30S × 30S and 68 × 68, has experienced a broader range of market activity, leading to more aggressive promotional sales compared to other types. Smaller orders, such as hundreds of meters, are now being transacted at around 7.20 yuan per meter, while larger orders, like several kilometers, are being offered at approximately 7.10 yuan per meter.
For other "cotton and silk" printing options, such as 32S × 32S and 66 × 66, the transaction sizes are even smaller. On weekends, the asking price for smaller batches has dropped to about 6.60 yuan per meter, while larger orders have reached as low as 6.50 yuan per meter. Over the past few days, aside from some sporadic small orders where the price fell by less than 0.10 yuan per meter, most transactions—regardless of size—have seen a decline of about 0.10 yuan per meter compared to the previous few days.
Other specialized products, including 30S × 68 carved printing "cotton and silk," 30S × 68 embroidery "cotton and silk," and 30S × 68 carved embroidery "cotton and silk," have also faced challenges. With rising temperatures, the overall market has seen fewer customers, and all varieties are experiencing reduced demand. Prices continue to trend downward, with transactions occurring only when buyers are willing to accept lower offers.
